Most Dalits are count as Hindus when they left Hindu religion long ago, and more of them becoming Neo-buddhist every day.
Also, Telugu and other south Indians hide their Christianity very well.

Christianity is not so high. Its just 1% and nothing more than source of stuff for free riders. Neo buddhism is just ambedkarite ideology with buddhist flavour. I would rather count it as irreligion/atheism/leftism.

Previous CM Jagan Reddy of Andhra is Christian as well, so was his father who was also CM and biggest Congress leader of Telugu land, used to pass bait remarks about Tirupathi Temple.
Telugu land along with Tamil are atleast 30% Christian but they are crypto and don't reveal it much.
Mallus are open about it tho.
And N-E apart from few states are full of Christians. Punjabis are converting en masse.

Most of those ''christians'' are leftists or liberals. Religiosity is in free fall all over the globe. They are like those hindu buddhist appearing hippies you see in west. West itself is mostly irreligious and youth of muslim countries have massive share of crypto apostates. Rebellious kids are also drawn to new stuff.

You are thinking in western Atheism sense of liberals free speech and tolerance sense.
Neo-budhist ( Dalits) are very much conservative, not leftist or librandu, they are as much superstitious and believer in God as avg. Hindu is. It's just a new stream.
And crypto Christians in India are very religious.
Atheism doesn't track much in this country.

Its sounding like a cope now lol. Yes you always have sm outliers who truly convert out of genuine change of heart like those white iskcon krishna devotees but entire nations havent abandoned one faith(which monotheistic abrahamics expect you to do) and converted to another out of devotion. That doesnt happen. Theres always some other allure like money, power or prestige, or coercion involved when conversion to an abrahamic faith at national level occurs. These people can be bought or forced back similarly like it happened during reconquista although reversing abrahamisation is harder due to their intolerant nature of monotheists. With abrahamics you either see yourself dying or becoming a villain yourself.
