Arjun wasn't a horrible design in itself, it was the long development time due to Gayrmy never fixing its requirements that fucked it up. that being said it isn't optimal either but it certainly doesnt deserve its reputation, for all the bashing its rifled gun gets it actually pens better than a t72 or a t90 and is prolly our current best bet against vt4s, mobility would become better with the datran engine and strat mob is not an issue at all it is well in the confines of our railways limits and can be transported by the same aircraft as t90s just that you can only carry 1... the only genuine isue of mine is the FCS and the sight location, should've been on the roof, also while rifled and the HESH stocks argument worked back then now we shouldve switched to a smoothbore one.
It isn't that bad, its reputation is a result of psyops and the state of our soft power, the ariete is worse in every metric but is glazed by the community solely because of that one episode of Girls und Panzers
