I will contest this point of view. It's not due to muh modi but i am genuinely perplexed this is first time i am reading whole bits and pieces.

How come Indian army doesn't/didn't have any plan of action at all to deal with moments? What else would modi do here other than that 'whatever is needed do' remark to the army.
How is this not a failure of armed forces that they were completely surprised by the events? Isn't it there job to keep PMO in loop about this?
From my perspective this paints grimmer picture of army chief, indian army than anything.
BTW his remark about 'spare parts' is interesting, because it was clear atleast not that moment but soon after galwan - one of the first trip by RM was to Russia for specially this. Remember Indian army was so unprepared that they didn't even have arctic wear necessary to partake in successive missions. It was USA which shared its own share of wearable directly to the army.
How is this not incompetency of the armed forces that they couldn't even manage the standardization of basic dresses.
And whole galwan fiasco had more drama, that chinese study group or desk whatever that is called wanted ITBP taking over whole border region so on. There were criticism over them.

I've seen the pictures, of our dead and captured, our guys were demolished, the Chinese surprised them with a mass, our guys got shocked, their commander killed and then they all surrendered. With such events I'm well of the belief that the 40 chinese killed claim is false, purely to keep the people from getting scared and the government having to face political affects as it does happen in a democracy

we saw videos of finger 4, finger 5 of pangong lake. 4 was the max extent of chinese ingress. i saw the video of our dead CO yes. i don't recall most details but i have seen videos of brawls - night time leaks so on. remarks about casualities (of chinese) shouldn't be far off - it's not like they were experienced even though well prepared.
but eventually we saw leaks from yellow top, operation snow leaopard etc. and lots of sat data some of which was hopefuel.
i remember brawls of finger 4, it predates galwan i think, when chinese came with entire APC and indians caught one of the chinks. there were videos of indian guys getting outnumbered at 4
there were lots of videos some of which we have, it didn't limit till ladakh rather NE India too we saw stuff.
