this legend goes something like this:
A goddess cursed a royal procession for disrespecting the mountain.
She struck them down with “hailstones as big as fists”.
Evidence:
A lake filled with hundreds of human skeletons.
Skull fractures match blunt objects falling from above exactly like massive hailstones.
>The Himalayan “Night Whistlers”
Common among remote Nepal/India villages.
Saying goes lyke:
If you hear whistling after dark in the mountains, don’t whistle back, because it’s not a human.
The whistler supposedly tracks the sound for days and eventually appears outside your window.
People also claim the whistle always comes from impossible spots cliffs with no ledge.
>The Kunzum Pass Woman in White (Spiti Valley)
Travelers say a woman dressed in all white stops bikers and tells them:
“Cross carefully, the mountain is hungry today.”
Some say she’s a protector spirit.
Others claim she’s seen moments before fatal accidents.
Locals genuinely leave offerings at the pass because of her.

In Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti, fairies legends are famous
They’re described as:
tall,pale, long-haired eyes, glowing like reflection
And they supposedly lure shepherds off cliffs or make them vanish.
Sometimes only the sheep return.
>The Silent Watcher
Climbers claim they sometimes see a figure standing on a peak far away motionless for hours and when they watch again, the figure is suddenly closer.
Locals call it “Chhurenda,” a guardian spirit or mountain demon.
>The Valley of Flowers Disappearing Hikers
A few hikers over the years wandered off trails and were found days later saying they followed a “woman in white” who guided them.
Two were never found.
Legend calls her the valley’s guardian spirit.

Several solo trekkers have disappeared over decades.

some nearby places like kedarnath also have same type of legends.

Later that morning, they find no soot, no wood, no footprints.
locals believe thatr the spirits of pilgrims who died during the floods still warm themselves there.

Shepherds report a huge serpent like shadow moving under the ice near Kedarnath at specific times.
locals believe that The “Naga devta” patrols the glacier, and sightings predict avalanches.

Sri M talks a lot about immortal yogis living in himalayas, nagas, the yeti etcetera. Also I've heard stories that a lot of people see flying lights at mount Kailash during the night.
