Diwali fire crackers do add to Delhi's pollution but aren't the main cause of it.
Delhi's average AQI remains at 200+ through out winter, mostly because of cold wind settling down, most of the pollution originates from punjab and pakistan, largely from paddy burning.

Don't you get tired of being retarded? Do people burn fire crackers for 4 months every year? Delhi's AQI was been 200+ even last week, have you ever seen meteorological maps depicting flow of winds from north pakistan to north india? Do you know stubble burning continues for months? Do you know AQI reaches 1000+ in Lahore and Peshawar too? Do they burn fire crackers there? Why doesnt this continue through out the year? because its only during winter the cold wind settles.
