I remember in class 2nd there was a mumps outbreak in our school. Almost every other child contracted it. The child I was sitting next to also contracted it, but I did not.
I remained healthy, mumps-free despite the ongoing outbreak in the class.
When I grew up, I found out it was because I was one of the only ones that was vaccinated.
If vaccines work so well, why are so many modern parents anti-vax?
