Is it true that all south indian languages sound the same to non dravidian language speakers? Can nobody else distinguish between them?
If you can distinguish, describe how each sound to you. And rank them based on how good they sound

Initially I couldn't tell them apart, but as I got used to them i could. This was the case for all narthie languages as well, they sounded all the same to me.

All of them are equal to me after Tamizh, since it is easily the oldest of Dravidan language group, also Yaen Ennai Pirindhai is in Tamil so it will naturally get first rank from me kek.

tamil sounds a bit rough & discrete as it was less sankritised. the other southern languages sound a bit more fluid & musical due to high sanskritization. I see the same difference between Hindustani and carnatic, but it could be so because carnatic uses a lot more mirdangam & ghattam as compared to hindustani that primarily uses tabla for percussion. mirdangam and tavil are very rough percussion instruments to listen to and very hard to generate fluid music. Same goes for southern wind instruments as well.

Telugu seem very sanskrit like. I can understand few bits and pieces of South languages thanks to sanskrit.
