Why does our society consider rape worse than murder even though in rape no one loses a life and in 99% cases there are minor injuries only? Is it because rape victims are women and we as a society put women on a pedestal and even the smallest inconvenience to them causes mass outrage?

Because murder just gets it over with, sure you will have grief but it ends with the personal. Rape traumatizes both the victim and her family, as well as emasculating her male relatives. Its simple, a man would rather die than have his woman raped
