Russia did reach Kiev in less than 2-3 days actually.
Ukraine is using the civilians as meatshields while Russia is trying to kill only combatants.
Around 20% of the original Ukrainian population has already left the country since the beginning of the war. Those are official numbers.
In reality its probably more.
The West is propping this war up so they can test new weapons systems and then sell them but they keep on getting owned by the Russians.
