Keeping a bee hive on the terrace is an interesting idea.
The quick way source bees locally would be reach out to the street sellers, they're usually the ones who domesticate wild bee hives and then keep them in hives.

Depends on where you live. Try finding any local people who deal with the honey-making stuff.
Sourcing bees from a local farmer is the best option possible.
Can you tell me your general geographic location?
If you were from Haryana, UP, NCR etc. region, I would have suggested visiting HAU.

I once found a hive at the back of my uncle's godown. Tha was the best honey that I had ever had, even better than the Dubai brand that we use currently.
Picrel is that. It is close, but not as good as wild honey.

I agree. The roof is a good place to start especially if there are some fruit trees around anon's house. In my old house, there used to be plenty of mango trees around. My current location has more jamuns and mulberry.

Such people deserve to be lynched.
I will try to see if there are any decent bee-keeping groups in MP.

Good, the less urbanized, the better. Bees thrive in more in environments left untouched by humans.

Very impressive anon. I can see that you are very dedicated.

All by the blessing of Mata Lakshmi and the hardwork of my father.
True, you would probably not get an amazing colony in a place like MP.
Still, I am sure that there are at least some options there.
Let me find them.

I think it is queen bee. You keep it and other bees will start gathering. Just a guess I'm not sure

Not sure about that. Let me check.
ICAR might have more reach than HAU, but the affsars there are mostly lazy babus. HAU researchers and professors are actually interested in field work.
I do know for certain that they even provide training programs and in some cases free samples for saplings and the like in HAU.

That is not how that works, pyaare. The queen bee is completely reliant on the worker bees for food. She cannot even construct a comb or take care of her larvae alone. You also need lots of bees to maintain the hive temperature.

Anyways, if your colony dies not have enough bees, the queen will just die, and it will be over for your hive. Only the queen can reproduce, and she is practically defenseless without workers and drones.
Kind of like real women.

Drones and workers are literally programmed to take care of the queen. Kind of like real men.
>abla queen in open
That would be a corpse pyaare. The queen bee cannot even survive outside of the hive. She will die due to the temperature difference before she dies of starvation.
That is not even a queen bee btw.
