1 attempt is all it takes my boy. Nobody gets more respect than a fighter pilot stationed on an aircraft carrier. I always wanted to become one but god gave me poor eyesight.

i gave that one attempt for NDA. got conferenced out. went without coaching, it was my first and last attempt.
just asking, what do you think i should do for personality development to become the kind of guy NSB would recommend ? because sometimes i think SSB is just a gamble. that they'll recommend you if they like you. that it doesn't really have anything to do with personality at all.

Ok, im not in defence but my friends dad who is a commander in the Navy is the SSB officer for Bangalore. I asked him the same question a few years ago when I was thinking of giving NDA. I'll write what I remember-
1.talk clearly, don't fumble or make pronounciation errors
2. Talk slowly. People tend to talk fast when they are tensed. It looks really bad.
3. Don't change your tone of voice. Some people voice gets little high pitched when under pressure.
4. Be mindful of your breathing. Breathe slowly and consciously and the above tips will be more or less sorted.
5. And last, suppose you give an opinion on a topic and the interviewing officer gives a counter point, DO NOT change your opinion to align with his opinion too fast. If you do, it shows weakness of character.

Just play DCS yaar, besides modern air warfare is cringe all tech, no skill, pay to win crap. Tbf ground warfare is almost there too, but manoeuvre and positioning is a skill only exercise and study can teach.

The days of dogfighting(even on rarer scenarios) ended in the gulf war, today it's just a technological dick measuring contest of whos radar can cook a goat thorougher.

I'm not lazy like IAF pilots. i actually plan to be a good pilot by practicing in DCS in my free time. i wanna show these fat nîggers that they need to do better.
>>364217
if you remember something else, please do tell. i had no coaching and i don't know any defence officers in my personal life either.

Pakis actually do that yaar(maybe on some other software lemme check), lundmerican instructors and doctrines are truly helping them, meanwhile pajeet gayir force can't ever take initiative, just copying shit everyone else already did decades ago.

True. The days of the dogfight are over. Abhinandan did try to dogfight the F16 in 2019 and we all know what happened.

I remember only one more thing, that is give ample amount of pauses and breaks in your speech. When an officer says something, wait for 3 seconds before responding. Don't be impulsive and reactive. A reactive and impulsive officer can start ww3. You don't want to be that guy.

too old for NDA, too early for CDS. just stuck in the middle doing my Btech. by the time i reach my final year, I'll also reach my age limit for Navy SSC Executive (Pilot) entry. I'll get one, or two chances at the most.
>we need passionate people like you to grease the rusted transmission of military gawarocracy.
damn near impossible. they don't let Direct Entry(CDS/AFCAT/SSC) officers in the super high posts. only exNDA officers are chosen for that.

And even worse, they keep coping saying Russian planes are good. IAF operated 872 mig21 in total out of which 482 were lost in accidents. That is an attrition rate of 55%. Idk how anybody would want to join the IAF after reading this.

lmao you should look at the clips of that IAF flight sim in the Delhi airport, or was it since other airport, i can't even remember.
it was so ass, the comments were all saying
>war thunder is free
>DCS is free
the IAF is a fucking joke, man.

*dogfight the F16 in a mig 21
A plane with shit turn rates due to its delta wings, poor visibility and shit avionic, the 21 was meant to be an interceptor that'd hit and run the fuck away, but ofc pajeets and their doctrinal retardation.

that was before 2000. post 2006, it was only ever good for training pilots. God knows how we've survived this long.

Yaar pajeet please tell me your not suggesting the mig21 should be used for pilot training. The mig21 was one THE most difficult aircraft to fly. It's landing speeds was super high and even a small twitch of the joystick while landing would lead to a crash. It's engines had a habit of flaming out. There's a reason why purpose built trainer jets like BAE hawk look different than an actual fighter jet. It's designed to be easier to fly.

hmmm, thanks for correcting me. I've also heard how the mig 21 front wheel does not have hydraulic steering system, which requires pilots to use extreme rudder input to steer the plane while taxiing.
i just thought useless shit should be used to train and play with.

The funny thing is the IAF did use the MIG21 to train the newly inducted pilots who entered the squadron. And now you know why the MIG21 had an attrition rate of 55%. No other user of the mig21 had an attrition rate this high.
