Hardik is the main guy. Remember Hardik was involved in that Kohli comeback vs Pakistan in 2022 or that Hardik was involved in 2024 T20 WC match vs Pakistan where we were losing but Hardik gave 24 runs in 24 balls with 4 wickets but everyone remembered Bumrah and Kuldeep
Hardik is the guy that gets involved in all the comebacks and important matches. Without him the team fails whenever they face a real threat
I can bet if Hardik was there in 2023 final we would have scored atleast 270-280 in the batting phase

He was overhyped, he is a hard worker but doesn't have that magic, I am myself a jhoomer was a huge fan of his during 2017 -19, you have to realiser that cricket has declined, i understood this when I started watching classic matches, go watch sachin bat and you will understand what I am saying, sachin faced legendary bowlers like wasim akram, shoaib akhtar, dale steyn, brett lee, mcgrath etc at their peak and he required no gimmick, no useless aggression or marriage with some bollywood actress, all it took was pure skill amd technique, sachin's straight drive alone has more substance that kohli's entire career.

Sachin was talent + hardwork. Kambli was just talent and no work. Kohli was obviously talented and hard working but not on the same level as sachin.
Sachin also had textbook cricket knowledge of every shot, he was innovative too. Even now you can see just how much he loves cricket. Genuinely inspiring.
Also same i also watched his games and man every shot was a class. Maybe i have nostalgia for old school commentary too and those grainy footage.

nah, he really was that good, I was like 11 yo when he retired.
IPL and T20i wasted cricket and a lot of otherwise good cricketers, Virat Kohli himself was a victim too much media hype, comparison to sachin etc etc got to him
