Instead of making multi-year multi-billion dollar hydro projects, why doesn't the govt just start dumping industrial waste in massive amount on these rivers? Basically to just pollute the rivers so much that it becomes unusable for any agriculture or industrial use from these water sources. Is this possible physically?
Imo this would cost us nothing and we can do it as much as possible, as long as we want.
