Indian dna has largely remain unmixed since steppe admixture in 2000BC. All the later foreign invasions werent significant enough to leave a genetic footprint due to our large agrarian population. At time a foreign dynasty would rule the natives through local feudatories but the demographics remained unaffected. British population in india was 2 lakhs at its peak. Thats literally nothing when compared to indian population which was in crores and those brits were mostly officials working in the imperial administration not settlers.

Source? What european countries did they compare? A jatt in indian punjab will be genetically closer to a jatt in pakistan (another country) than some other (indian) so i dont find it surprising but i seriously doubt about your europe claim. British nobility for example is heavier in germanic and norman blood whereas lower classes are heavier in celtic blood. European class structure likely has a genetic divide as well due to endogamy as royals used to interbreed with each other than mix with commoners.
