19F here, college student, day boarder. My parents are about to separate in a few months.
My mother is losing her mind imagining how she's gonna live alone. She just wanted to be loved, and dying alone having lived an unhappy life is her biggest fear. She is completely valid.
I told my mother that we could find someone for her, she sarcastically scoffed and then started crying. She's not yet open to it.
I am sure that in the future, I'll be able to convince her to look for a man, since she insists on needing one. I'm gonna get her a therapist before I get her a man don't worry.
My question is : How shall my mother find a man when she wants one? Hinge and Tinder? My mother doesn't want to be on a dating app (obviously due to the stigma around it).
Trust me, I will resist a second marriage, but having a boyfriend who makes her smile wouldn't hurt. No legal ties. No financial complications. Just two people in a happy relationship.
Where and how to look for such people? How to avoid the wrong people?
