At least back in the day in the cool parts of Bombay like Churchgate, Fort, heck even Bandra all the way to Juhu you had stuff to do. Art, underground rock music, a whole nother culture. Now its all gone because of gentrification

The traffic in Mumbai now is insane. Back then it was still massive but most people didn't own cars so they commuted on WR or Central to the suburbs and beyond. You also had local industry in places like Bhiwandi, Kalyan etc so the influx of people coming into Bombay proper was less

i used to see shit lying around on marine drive before. you probably visited during monsoon. trust me, mumbai is at least 2x more cleaner now than it was in the past. it's just that, mumbai's population has kind of exploded with biharis, lately, and there seems to be some problem with the air now.
