I am non-Muslim Kanglu and some people always say I am lying when I try to mention this. Events like Eid and Puja aren't seen as something only one religious community should celebrate in our country. Durga Puja Mondops especially are always thought of as "Sharbojonin" (open to everyone) and anyone can come and visit them. Especially in large university campuses. Unlike Pakistan, we have secularism mentioned in our constitution in both the opening preamble and in Section 12A which discusses freedom of religion. We have Hindus and Adivasis serving even in the current interim government and afaik there's no legal bar from them becoming PM or President. Though whether someone will get enough votes is another matter. Also before someone says this :no, I am not doing propaganda on behalf of the government lol. (I get that a lot, too).
