I don't see a point in this UGC thing. There are already enough rules and regulations about ragging, misconduct and other bullying practices in colleges - except they're all only on paper. These are serious things and will ruin a college reputation which will further affect admissions, so the colleges which are of course run by Industrialists and Politicians who already have a good incestuous relationship going with each other to make sure that not a single bad incident makes it out to the public, and even if it did it'll be whitewashed in a week's time. Adding these new UGC rules will not change anything on the ground. Bullying, abuse from teachers, abuse from fellow students, abuse from the college administration, it'll all continue to happen and nothing will change.
Colleges are a high pressure and fantastical environment created by the college administration and the guidelines established by UGC / AICTE or whatever governing bodies that exist out there and these kind of environment are a breeding ground for toxic and antisocial behaviors whether it is flavored in (indian) or gender or anything. All of this is just theatrical and a waste of time. We should instead focus on shutting down garbage piece of shit colleges that continue to function because of incestuous relationships between the government and the college administration.

Not correct. Shit happens in colleges all the time. It gets out all the time. Nobody cares.
