Tribal (c@ste) identities have greater significance irl than Varna identities. Tribal identities often unite different tribes together based on ethnic/linguistic lines. Ex- Punjabi, Bihari (Chhath Puja) etc

c@st identity takes precedence, which involves a feeling of brotherhood with all people having gotras living in that region.
But today a Mathura Goswami revealed it to me that they dislike Goswamis and don't even marry them and consider them somewhat illegitimate. The same Gautam told me that they consider Chiptavan superior to Deshasthas.
Sometimes different gotras living in same region can develop bitter relations due to centuries of competition.

it's due to dedicated investment in infra (NIP) - expressways, DFCs, obviously state of the art ports, inland waterways navigation which is next set of focus. Adani built india's first deep water sea port - pending for years, it's also very automated compared to chinese.
now government is going to invest in ship building and it is going to get big real big.
this year's budget just introduced another DFC corridor which will go from Gujarat to Kolkata. These are good things. we need more expressways.

This already puts Adani among the most vertically integrated solar players in the world.
What Adani has NOT fully built yet:
• Polysilicon production (the true upstream bottleneck)
This is the raw material step dominated by China. Adani currently relies on imports here, though plans have been discussed.
• Advanced PV tech at scale
Examples: large-scale TOPCon / HJT dominance, perovskites. They exist in pilots or future plans, not mass leadership yet.
• Complete domestic supply of equipment & chemicals
Crucibles, silver paste, specialty gases, high-purity chemicals are still partially imported.
Why this matters:
Polysilicon is capital-intensive, energy-intensive, and geopolitically sensitive. Even the US, EU, and Japan struggle here. Not owning this step is normal — owning everything downstream of it is already exceptional.
So the accurate framing is:
Adani has built ~80–85% of the practical solar ecosystem needed to deploy power at scale.
The remaining ~15–20% is deep-upstream materials science, where even nation-states struggle.

i remember reading about it in imports.
>most vertically integrated solar player
and in infrastructure thing too - cement sariya so on.
if the dharavi projects succeeds well then we can have a kino template. people are not realizing but the pm awas is also resulting in lots of government buildings which are given away to the public. this will become mainstream - akin to commie blocks - best way to contain the slums.
maybe adani can play a bigger role in entire cities getting redeveloped. i think he also developed the airport in guwahati which got good cheer by people.
proly only among big three who is not risk averse. i am not even getting into defense - where entire ammo production is not automated. it's gigafactory.

No like only group which could develop it in India no one else bothered for decades and it was readied in record time.
Sarabhai had more to do with entire IIM and ISRO than Nehru had to do with IITs for comparision and Adani well without him it wouldn't be possible.
All DFCs, Expressways eventually connect to Ports.

i appreciate your enthusiasm about the state of development. You can take advantage of it as long as it drives you.
Nietzsche was writing philosophy when germany was a war. How can a man be so detached from the contemporary state of affairs ?
Adi Shankara roamed around India when different kingdoms were at war with each other.
I find it fascinating. Amazing state of mind.

so Adani group is the most competent big group in its respective fields currently in India. There had been competent groups before and there will emerge competent groups in future. I appreciate Adani for carrying the torch forward and up higher. May he resist the temptation to cling onto it forever and pass it over to the next competent candidate when the time comes.

sometimes it's not just competency rather more on 'risk taking ability'.
tatas and reliance have large pool of resources but are very risk averse. they are entrenched in the system, there will be a time when adani too become like that but there's time.
in general we need groups like these who can provide us scale.
