India is one of the largest economies, fastest growing economy in the entire world which means massive trade (ofc not as big as US or China, but still it is massive). It is seen as a perfect country to balance global powers.
The global power can shift the moment India will pick sides with a particular major power and therefore it has been a center of attention. Why? Because it has top 5 militaries, the militaries trained on different terrains and especially in one of the harshest cold environments on this planet.
It also has the highest youth (therefore highest workforce) holding the potential of the world’s next manufacturing hub with literacy rate consistently growing.
Countries around the world aren’t investing in the current India, but they are betting on what it will be in the years coming up. Its like if you know a company will be big, you will invest whatever you got so you can be full of riches when it grows.
