Is there a single thing long term program that india has successfully executed? The only ones I can think of is the nuclear subs and missile programs. And the funny thing is India can build nuke subs, but not diesel subs.

China invested 40 billion while we invested 350 million kek. Despite that we managed to develop a dry non afterburning engine which can power UCAVs and an entire range of unmanned vehicles. There are only 5 countries who can build jet engines. It's a more exclusive club than nuclear weapons.
If you can't build good cities, you can't build jet engines. It's a collective process which only ambitious civilizations with a soul can achieve. You have to fund billions in research without expecting anything in return.
