Rather than amerikeks, EU are better partner if we are going to have any food related partnership so this is good.

There won't be any competition. Western brand names can just flood India with cheap vesions of their expensive cars.
And yes Tata and Mahindra aren't as refined as Western cars, but if there is no buying pressure they will never improve.
It took Western industry almost 200+ years to get cars to where they are now.
