IT jobs could be flexible. but i've even seen some where they have age or graduation year restrictio n. so internship could be difficult. but you can still apply for 0 year exp jobs or since you have prior experience, you can apply accordingly.
if you have the skills and the work ethic it ahouldn't matter that you have a gap. as long as you have the mindset to cover any knowledge gaps etc nobody cares. i wouldn't.
