The new UGC laaaaa wouldn't be as bad as people are saying, if it wasn't for the reversed burden of proof. In criminal laaa, the case of the prosecution has to be proved beyond reasonable doubt against the accused. In certain laaaas such as POCSO and NDPS this burden of proof is reversed and the accused has to prove his innocence because he is presumed guilty from the very beginning once a prima facie case is established. These laaaaas with reversed burden of proof are also the most misused laaaaas in lundia. Now imagine giving this laaa to teenaged kaalege zoomers. Their brains are underdeveloped and they'd spontaneously file false and frivolous complaints against UCs left and right and the UC would have to rebutt the presumption of guilt drawn against them.
