So fkin sad yaar, my baap is so eerily similar to what you described. Didn't upskill or jump companies, stuck to one company till he got fired in 2017. Glad that he's not as miserable as your dad though....

Also I've noticed that I'm also becoming like him, slacking off, not upskilling myself and being in this comfy little zone. I must get out of this stupid habit. Genes do matter ig, I've definitely inherited this.

Damn this was a wake-up call, thank you anon for making this post

damn, my baap is the complete opposite. him and his older brother were one of the only children to make it out of the village and get successful outside

i don't think i inherited his work ethic though. i am the laziest person i know

>MCA

>doesn't even know basic set theory)

Many such cases

>nothing for retirement

>without upskilling

That's Indian culture yaar.

This is why boomerjeets are always talking about "keyreer-veryeer ban jaaye ek baar".

It's because they don't understand that you have to adapt all the time.

>NRI accent

When speaking Hindi?

>beta hai na

You're his retirement plan, kekdu kekeshwar swamy

>phd in machine learning

Do you not need an MTech before PhD if you just have MCA?

>khud padhke mujhe bhi samjha

Implying that boomerjeets are capable of undestanding anything

>visibly shits his pants

yaar

Now tell me anonwa, how are your social skills? Do you get hot pajeetas or not?

Has this kind of baap affected your social life and personality in bad ways?

>prompt generate kar leta hoon

At least your baap is good at jugaad

Maybe he got this far in life with jugaad

How is your mom? Is she beautiful or is she also jugaad?

yaar this is pajeet life

Unless you actively make efforts to something against it, you will end up like this because the environment in India makes you complacent and lazy, and eventually irrelevant and incompetent.

Unless you actively make efforts every single day to not be this way, that's how you will end up in this environment.

It's not genetics, but its your samskara. You learnt all those things and values from him. You are imbuing too much to genetics when most of it is within your own personal responsibility to change and build on.

>>1520

This is another example.

You don't inherit those things. You either are taught those values by the environment, or you develop them by yourself and taking support of whatever privileges you already have.

>When speaking Hindi?

No, only while speaking english. it feels kinda forced tbh, but it's not annoying or pretentious. they are humble enough. most of them shifted during 7-8th grade, so they speak hindi like a metropolitan richfag, but they were richfags anway.

except for one didi, she can't even speak hindi properly, was born and raised in australia.

>Do you not need an MTech before PhD if you just have MCA?

he has both BCA and MCA, so he's eligible.

>how are your social skills?

top notch yaar. i used to be an excellent speaker, and my indian accent is not that heavy. but my desire for socialisation is at an all time low, becaue i am in a bhangi college, and also because my father is a lecturer in the same college.

>Do you get hot pajeetas or not?

yeah, in 11-12th. not necessarily hot, but not outright uggo either. and they owuld always be interested first. i'm not a lost case yaar, i just fucked up my gayee.

>Has this kind of baap affected your social life and personality in bad ways?

kind of. mom and dad used to fight a lot, so as a child i would act out at school and make everyone laugh, got punished a lot of times too. but it was never any chhapri shit.

>How is your mom?

she's the most beautiful woman in the gaon(no Oedipus of course), even got scouted by a model scout once in Delhi. but she once started crying in my arms saying he used to call her ugly in their early days of marriage.

>Hindi

Well, sounds like your opinion then

>English

If you make conscious efforts, you can reduce your accent. And if you don't but get the right environment, your accent will change without you noticing it.

>MCA

Happens only in India. Outside of India, MCA is equivalent of only a B. Tech.

>Social skills

Sounds like you're doing pretty well then.

Good thing you have not taken influences from your father. You must have a good and healthy relationship with your mother and she must have supported you really well.

>Mid pajeetas

Not a lost cause then anon. Think about how it was investing in bitcoin. Not everybody may see the potential now, but in a few years time, she might end up as an apsara in her mid 20s. Play your cards right early. Or just gain experience without hurting people if possible.

>gayee

Just focus where you can make substantial effort. Stop worrying about useless things such as incompetent baap.

gayee won't matter a few years down the road if you can build something good while working on your skills.

>mom and dad

No wonder, I can see that they are both very different. Good thing you took more influences from your mom though.

>mom

Wow, so somehow your dad really was master jugaadu and ended up with a girl out of his league by trying to pull her down to his level huh.

Overall, anon...

I would say you're doing pretty well.

Just come out of this "I failed gayee" spiral.

You already started out with good stats. Now work on maxing out the easy skills and surviving kalej.

You will do well.

Focus on these two things:

1. What is it that is pulling you away from your goal?

2. What is it that is pushing you towards your goal?

Can be thoughts, memes, person, pajeeta, urges, etc.

>You must have a good and healthy relationship with your mother and she must have supported you really well

she does emotionally support me a lot, but sometimes even she acts crazy those are the days that are really hard

>out of his league

it was AM yaar.

>What is it that is pulling you away from your goal?

just escapism. when a bad interaction happens, i start feeling angry, frustrated, guilty, or some other negative emotion, and i doomscrool and coom to numb the pain. but it's not working anymore.

i really like yuianan's advice on this one.

>The way you can deal with it somewhat is by becoming unashamed of your actions. even the taime spent doing nuffing and leisure must not become a source of shame for your heart.

this is what i try to keep in my mind to keep me strong these days.

>What is it that is pushing you towards your goal?

obsession and genuine interest. even in my free time i find myself thinking about CS related stuff.

but then some chore comes up, or some fight happens, and it just ruins my mood.

>>1527

>can't he just fraudmaxx the PHD too?

you can't fraudmaxx genuine talent. think about it yaara, a guy who DOESN'T EVEN KNOW PYTHON, is trying to do a PHD in MACHINE LEARNING. how much do you think he can fraud ?

>but he fraudmaxxed everything else right ?

both his degrees are from noname Open Universities back in the 90s, which mom tells me that he failed a few courses multiple times and had to retake multiple exams.
