Please don't. I tried this before many times. I was in the same situation as you and I tried reaching out to old friends it didn't work out. All your high school friends would've changed and they will not want to talk to you if you're a NEET. If they wanted they would've reached.

I have spent many years being locked in my room. My highest record is 1.2 years without setting a foot out the door. But it never demoralized.
