Idc much about email. I just use gmail bcz everyone else uses. So theres no privacy benefit as google gets to see the emails through other persons mail id anyway. Just dont use gmail for private conversations.

They mostly use whatsapp and telegram in europe. Those are far better than gmail for conversations. At least the messages are claimed to be E2EE. Encryption is there marketing point. Gmail doesnt use any E2EE for sure and openly claims that they scan your mails. Not sure what american android users use. They likely use iMessage in case of iphone users which again is a better choice than gmail.
Talking on a phone call is even better for privacy. The laws regarding network provider and police tapping private phone calls are very strict since those laws were created at a time when privacy was taken for granted. They can only keep call logs and cant sell your private info and the police need court order to gain access or tap a line which too applies for case specific individuals only.

Whole America uses Gmail for chat. Even my NRI friends are shocked after seeing that. Google also launched a special Gmail chat app for this. They are using Gmail for chat from a decade now. Telegram is not very popular and nobody gives their personal phone number in west just for chat like here in our desi country.

i had accounts made with that email account that i cannot access anymore.. some of them were fairly important and one of them was for crypto exchanges
all of it gone
