Banks don't need to release them there anon, alternative frontend literally means you're just downloading it directly from the playstore via a proxy app. You can either use your account or they've their own anonymous account generator. That's the best I can explain it.

Okay I'll make it clear for you. Alternative frontends don't actually store the actual service they're trying to replace. They simply can't. To actually make a copy of every YouTube video or apk and distribute them would require as much resource as Google and they wouldn't be able to sell this bshit for free either.
Instead they act as a middleman, for instance, you tell them to buy from house, A they go get them to your house instead of you going to house A. This has advantage of you avoiding the usual faggotry associated with going to A. If the owner of A says they need to suck his dick to get thing, they'll suck it instead of you and bring you the thing.
If your actually network analysed the app, you'll be able to see it connecting to the same urls that play store actually connect to to download.
That's what it does. It doesn't actually store the bank apps that you want to downloads. It directly connects to Google servers and fetch the apk for you and install it in your phone instead of using play store.
Sometimes it won't work because Google or whatever it's trying to replace changes how things are done. For instance Google might change the link from which itb fetches apk or in case of the link I provided above, one element changes in the page so the whole thing breaks it something.

Banking is serious business, its not worth the risk to ditch google account completely.
I just made a Zoho account and now I have 3 accounts in total so I wanted to delete the gmail account which I can't because of playstore.
The other account is on outlook which is my main official account, so can't ditch that as well.
I think I will have to tolerate this till zoho develops an independent appstore.
