WL - waiting list
RAC - reservation against cancellation. RAC typically means even if all seats are book you can get a seat - but not have to accomodate.
WL depends, if by the time chart is prepared and your ticket is still in waiting then it's worthless. It has subcategories, afaik GNWL and lower wl number - like say WL1, WL2, so on will mean your chances are higher to get the confirmed tickets. Usually better to not get into these situations.
