Yaar Chandigarh is the most difficult posting to get in northern circle. Only senior level experienced guys or sifarishi bhenchods get posted there. Rest of the people are thrown in tier 10 kasbas and left to rot till they reach seniority. I'm talking about private banks here but I'm fairly certain that the gobermint ones post people the same way. I was getting a legal management role in some tier 10 kasba for loan collection in Haryana in HDFC and I refused to risk my life going there. When I asked my cousin who works in another private bank, he told me how difficult it is to get posted in cities like Chandigarh/Panchkula/Mohali for new joinees unless they have connections.
