Try to convince both your parents kindly and patiently, if they still disapprove, elope. If it doesn't work out, dont give up on future possibilities with another woman

i don't really care about religion not that religious
but she is very religious and her parents too
so it is near impossible to convince her parents
we talked about running away and she said she wants her parents at her wedding
shit's just fucked up I am not currently financially independent I have 6 months internship pending and then have to find a job
but even when I find a job it'll take me 2-3 years to be able to pull a move like settling with her
and thats the question will we be able to wait for 2-3 years will things be the same
or we should just move on now to save ourselves from the pain in future

i have a friend in a similar situation, except that he had been in a relationship since class 8 all the way through the 3rd year and similar religious ramblings from the girl's side representing the arguments of her parents led to the relationship ending
