GCC boom is going to be nothing more than call center boom 2.0. Vietnam is getting all the manufacturing boom which will give them the edge to one day create their own champions like China, meanwhile jeets are happy with GCCs that will give a few jeets some high paying job, but none of the skills or the initiative to build anything. Whatever breakthrough happens will just benefit those MNCs, not us.

That's is more or less even the state policy now. It can't attract enough capital to provide jobs in low skill sectors, so goverment is trying to sign all these agreement to ship out the dehatis to countries where fertility rate has collapsed. We're even lower than a tourist based economy, we're now a remitance based economy. Expect even more anti-jeet nativism to flare out soon.
