Lol. India cant be any further from yugoslavia. Pajeet subcontinent has long history of large empires and civilisational unity. We are used to pan indian unity. Our ethnonationalism is also mild. Ultimately, its race that matters with regard to national character. If you think india will ever end up as yugoslavia or congo then you are mistaken. If it didnt happen in our long history, it wouldnt ever happen. The people shape the national character. If india were to ever balkanize it would be a slow process of weakening of centre without bloodshed just like it happened during end of gupta period. And even after that the cycle will repeat and a new pan indian polity will emerge.

Not exactly. India is currently the largest it has ever been. Many of the pan indian empires missed many regions in the periphery of modern india. This is unlike china, which is actually smaller than their peak during the qing empire.

Just look at our neighbours. We are the same "race", but are only better off than them because of a neutral army and strong institutions. They can degrade any time. Many argue it has already started

No way. Delhi takes secessionism very seriously. So do most indians. There will be a brutal crackdown if there is even a whiff of secessionism
