Today, it was my senior's birthday.
He organises a huge Iskon Hare Krishna kirtan+bhandara on his birthday every year.
This was the first time I attended one of these bhajan-kirtans. Everything was going like usual. Guests came and joined the kirtan and started clapping and chanting
>Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare~
>Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare~
I joined them too and started clapping and singing.
Then I saw some unusual guests. Muslim girls and women. A whole group of hijab-clad Muslim females. Around 15-20 of them came inside the hall and started doing the same thing as the rest of us. They started chanting and clapping while singing Hare Krishna. Upon further inquiry, I came to know that they were part of the iskon group that was performing the whole kirtan.
After the kirtan ended, it was time for the bhandara. They all sat in the line next to me and ate from the bhandara like nothing.
Never in my life have I ever seen Muslims, especially female Muslims, actively participating in any Hindu activity. Most of them don't even accept parsad from you when you offer it to them. And here I saw them singing Hare Krishna Hare Krishna like it was nothing.
This unironically felt like some comedy skit to me, and the whole time I was trying not to laugh.
Have you seen something like this irl?

I have been in such iskon places too, the thing that shocked me the most is all hindus weren't even bothered by presence of muslims.
Everyone was like "everything is normal here, nothing unusual"

Exactly. Not just that, the fact that they were singing and clapping hare krishna shocked me the most. They were all women and girls. No males were there. It made me think that they secretly came to that place without telling their husbands/fathers. Kek.

Yes. I've been to some different countries and sometimes happened to meet ISKON people and 1-2 times even processions.
ISKON is unironically extremely based in how inclusive they are and how they counter Xtian missionaries by simply being better at everything.
However ISKON itself aren't really hindus for various reasons (theologically).
