job hunting of course, but shit has been going south for a lot of these people for the past 3-5 years, especially during and after covid. My own relative did his MS in CS at one of the top University of California and couldn't find a good job(100k+ usd) for more than 2 years. I don't know the exact details as I dont speak to my relatives much, but I do know he is of the extremely conscientious type and still struggled like shit.

He also said its relatively easy to get a job as companies come for internship kum graduate project in last semester, referrals also help a lot in abroad as there is not mass bhangigeneers applying for vacancies

this worked only until mid 2010s, since then it has become a debt trap.
you will likely end up unemployed with lots of debt, most of these guys end up being forced to do menial jobs to pay off debt or worse they have to return, that said American society and economy are no longer like before and things will only get worse, nowadays only loosers go to US, because if you studied well you can easily get a good job in india itself.

Also the money required nowadays is just too much, you need 1 Cr, before it was somewhat affordable, you only needed 50 Lakh, the living costs, education etc has sky rocketed across US and as le "migrant student" you are nothing but cash cow for scam degree mill colleges, this shit is even worse in Canada.
Unless you are extremely talented individual who wants to pursue research at top US colleges and are getting scholarship for it, you shouldn't be going there to study.
problem is most bhangis who le want to move to US do not know that there is literally zero guarantee for a job, they have a lottery system, US IT employers do not prefer freshers for whom they would have to finance H1B, they rely on outsourcing mills like TCS, Infosys etc.
that said the whole thing had become even worse with new reforms, many NRIs are literaly stuck in india now, you will never get a green card and even if you managed to get a job, you will become a slave to your employer, because you cannot freely change jobs because H1B
