Haven't played it but I've heard HOI4 used it as base, so ig it is batshit unrealistic map colouring puzzle game as well.

It is pretty detailed i would say, it even got the states of India in 1337 pretty right.

Talking about combat yaar, it is brutally unrealistic, I can imagine how a better approach could be designed, but I'm not a game designer... also they got the map and history in Hoi4 wrong, it must have some flaws in EU too, just unnoticeable to you.
