Yaar this Dalit flatmate is trying to shill antiUC propaganda to me because I've been very nice with him so far. I speak softly and act nicely with everyone irl but that doesn't mean I will tolerate every trash person that approaches me.
Ps: My landlord is dhai-ghar pure veg khatri with BJP membership. I think this dalit tenant evaded the filter due to his Baniya sounding surname.

Same situation with a Yadav. However I ended up objectively flipping the switch by mentioning what pakistan did to Dalits after first March and what Mahar community did to others after they got in power.
I have also addressed and showed him actually evidence of what INC has done with the dalit as well, breaking his entire belief system. He has good notions towards muslims, but that is just because of this really old man in his life. I will not read pill him on Muslims, he deserves to be able to keep caring for an old man.

Try to explain the situation from POV of a guy who is neither dalit or UC. You need to take it as if it's just an objective pursuit of truth and who is actually using his community. They are driven by greedy and what personally benefits them. Give them exactly that.

You could just tell him, casually someday. Though that will circle back to you in future if you do it. Life is a lot like this for UC's. We have to listen to people stupider than us, see all the objective flaws in their argument and treat as if it doesn't exist.
They have prior bias towards you and even me. Nothing you say will make him feel bad or care about how you are wronged. So simply approach it from how current status quo is now starting to affect him.
