I am a narthie but thats not as bad as others tend to exaggerate. It only becomes a problem when it continues for multiple generations due to limited gene pool. Once in a while it has no effect. Your cousin is quite different genetically than your sibling.

I knew a southie who married his sister's daughter. He said she was a total yandere and was psychotic and obsessive about him and that it happened because her parents groomed her and the people around her groomed her into thinking that he is her soul mate since she was a little girl. It's a cultural thing and they still continue to do this shit in rural parts.
