Book recommendations

There exists a significant percentage of urban English educated middle class who can no longer speak or read their mother tongue fluently.
There are many who can't string a single sentence together without throwing in some English (source: me). It's the khichdi phenomenon.
Top 10 most spoken languages of India:
1. Hindi
2. Bengali
3. Marathi
4. Telugu
5. Tamil
6. Gujarati
7. Kannada
8. Odia
9. Punjabi
10. Malayalam
I want some book recommendations (at least 15) for each of these languages that fulfill the following criteria:
>beginner friendly for slow readers, new learners, and the linguistically challenged
>not leftist trash
>not translations
>preferably fiction
>ideally doesn't use a lot of English loan words, but not priority as such
A list of useful dictionaries, apps, software etc. would be appreciated as well.
Feel free to recommend classics, but my priority is for easy beginner friendly reads, regardless of genre.
The larger goal is to help build an ecosystem for indigenous languages to flourish in.
I know there are a few platforms like Pratilipi, but I haven't used it so don't know much about it.
Anons who have used it or other similar platforms, please share your experience as to the content, quality, etc.
There are also very few ebooks out there. By ebooks I don't mean shitty scanned PDFs from the 2000s, but proper reflowable EPUBs that are compatible with e-readers. But that's a story for another thread.
Give me your best anons!

There are not only people with varying degree of consciousness but there are pour soul even today who do not have any consciousness.
They just do things.
Most famous example in India, is Dasarath Manjhi, he was not conscious but at a fleeting moment he received a guidance and that's what he end up doing.

E-reader discussion and shill thread.
Post pics, experiences, reviews, and whatever else about e-readers.
FAQ:
>is the reading experience just like a physical book?
Yes and no. E-ink looks extremely similar to actual paper, but it obviously doesn't have the tactile feel of a book in hand with flipping pages, book weight, etc.
>why should I buy one then?
Modern features like brightness, bookmarking, highlighting, fonts, layout, dictionary search, etc.
Load thousands of e-books with no issue.
Extremely portable. Save a lot of money. An e-reader should last you 5 years, minimum. Plenty of people still use e-readers that have lasted over a decade.
>ok, will I miss physical books?
I haven't so far, the reading experience has been quite pleasant for me, but ymmv.
>what are my options?
I recommend sticking to big brands like Kindle and Kobo. There are others, but I'm not sure about their presence in Indian market.
>can I read PDFs?
Sure, if you hate yourself. More expensive models with larger screen size, like the Kindle Scribe, can let you do things like annotate and take notes, but for smaller models I do not recommend.
This includes things like textbooks, research papers, etc.
>can I read manga?
Sure. The larger the screen the better, but even 6-7" models are servicable for most manga. You might have to pinch and zoom from time to time depending on the typesetting though.
>do I have to charge it often?
Not really. A single charge should last a couple of weeks at least.
>are e-readers expensive?
A decent budget is between 10k-20k. There are more expensive models out there, or even cheaper, but I'd recommend sticking to well known brands with a large community and support.
This is for new devices btw. The refurbished market needs more research. Some models will need to be imported, so costs will vary.
>do you recommend color?
I haven't done extensive research into color models, but the general consensus seems to be that the tech isn't quite there yet. The colors tend to be washed out and not vibrant. Feel free to prove me wrong.
>which models do you recommend then?
I've personally used the Kindle Basic, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kobo Clara BW. For most people the Basic is fine, but stock may vary.
Paperwhite and Kobo Clara BW have similar price, and the Paperwhite has a 6.8" screen compared to Clara BW's 6".
There is a bit of a glare on Paperwhite screen though, so I prefer the Clara BW.
Anons can chip in with their own reviews for these and other models and brands, such as Boox, Pocketbook.
>where can I get e-books?
Considering only English for now, you can buy them on Amaazon Kindle store or Kobo store.
If you prefer sailing the seas to look for treasure, try sites like z-library and Anna's Archive.
>A NOTE ON THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF INDIC LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Kindle only supports Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, and Tamil. Even then, the book selection is trash, optimization for Indic scripts is trash, do not recommend for Indic languages currently.
They might add support later, but Amazon in general has some shady practices, so I've stopped shilling Kindles.
Kobo supports Indic scripts without having to wait for 15 fucking seconds every page turn like the Kindle.
Only issue is that indic language ebooks are not popular and thus cannot be found on either store.

Gandhian conception of society and Duty.
>"You will permit me to say that you are on the wrong track. I feel sure that I
can draw up a better charter of rights than you have drawn up. But what
good will it be? Who will become its guardian ? If you mean
propaganda or popular education, you have begun at the wrong end. I
suggest the right way. Begin with a charter of the Duties of Man, and
I promise the rights will follow as spring follows winter. I write from
experience. • As a young man I began life byseeking to assert my rights,
and I soon discovered I had none -not even over my wife. So I began by
discovering and performing my duty by my wife, my children, friends,
companions and society, and I findtoday that I have greater rights,
perhaps, than any living man I knew. If this is too tall a claim, then I don't know anyone who possess greater rights than I."
Will keep adding more on this.

For Nehru National Development was not just limited to scientific, economic and social gains but individual gains, at a Personal level. For Nehru a strong Nation only developed when the personalities of Individuals living in this politic grew to be deserving of this growth.
Nehru did not oppose Religions but seeked to make it an agent of State as subservient while keeping the State superior. Religion was used for social organisation (see Manipur's division), but kept limited to individuals thoughts and beliefs. The ideal man in Nehrus India was a rationalist and a Humanist, respected all religions but did not wear it on his sleeve.
>Nehru further believed in the ideals of Social Justice and rejected the idea of a few individuals holding most of the property in Society.
But this didn't imply he was a Communist or Socialist,as he believed them to be murderous savage ideologies. In Nehrus time the individual had value but that was not above the State like in America not absent like in Russia, but subservient to the State.
>Change is necessary but continuity has to be ensured.
Nehru believed in Modern Industrialized India, but also One that was still rooted in how it existed for thousands of years. He was a proponent of Reformism , rather than revolution against Tradition. He was also not a fan of Dogma in any sphere and was in many ways a Free thinker, parts of which can be observed in his personal life. A reason why he chose a mixed economy rather than falling in either extremes. To a lay person it might seem hesitance to take any stance, it was more about choosing your own path rather than anyone side.

I wake up at 5:00 A.M. sharp, feeling the crisp northern air kiss my face. The ceiling fan whirs above me, the rhythmic hum a soundtrack to my awakening. My mattress is firm, just the way I like it—any softer, and the body decays. I sit up, exhale slowly, and feel the weight of the morning settle into my bones. Another day in this cursed nation. Another day in this beautiful nation.
I step out, feeling the earth beneath my bare feet. Raw. Elemental. The sky is still bruised with traces of dawn. My lota—a sturdy steel relic of hygiene and tradition—gleams in my hand. I trek toward the woods, breathing in the petrichor of damp soil and cow dung. Nature. Organic. Zero-waste sanitation. My foot brushes against a discarded Kurkure wrapper. A reminder that the civilization I belong to is in a state of rapid entropy.
I squat. A primal stance. The position aligns my chakras, ensuring maximum evacuation efficiency. Westerners wouldn’t understand. They sit on cold porcelain thrones, straining their colons, detached from the land, from tradition. Pathetic.
Once done, I cleanse myself with the cool, biting water. The lota is an instrument of purity, a humble yet sophisticated counter to the Western obsession with dry, abrasive paper. I feel clean, spiritually and physically. I am not like them.
Back at my residence, I begin my skincare routine. I splash my face with icy water from my balti—direct from the borewell, untouched by municipal incompetence. My magga distributes it evenly, a baptism of sorts. I don’t use chemical-laden Western products. Instead, I rub my skin with Multani mitti, allowing it to absorb excess oil, drawing out impurities. I let it sit, feeling the mask tighten around my face like the pressures of existence itself.
I rinse it off, the water cascading down my chest in rivulets, a fleeting moment of indulgence before the day’s obligations begin. I dry myself with a coarse gamcha, exfoliating the last remnants of sleep from my body. Every action is deliberate. Every ritual has purpose.
Now, the real work begins. Bharatchan.
I log onto /kama/. Primitive desires must be sated before intellectual pursuits commence. A quick, clinical release. No emotions. No distractions. Just dopamine and clarity.
Refreshed, I navigate to /b/. The Blackpill. The unfiltered truth. I post about the demographic decline, geopolitical decay, the inevitability of collapse. No one will listen. No one ever does. But I do it anyway.
I glance at the clock. Majdoori awaits. The daily grind. The eternal cycle of labor and survival.
I take a deep breath. The mask is on. The day begins.

How many of you have read it? If you read this and the book "determined" it is kind of the ultimate blackpill(can't think of a better word, sorry), you will never see the world in the same way.

Even (by the way I am a nigger) book like rashmirathi is a failed attempt to show the oppressed karna as a chad kek
The only good piece of literature that's worth reading is kamayani and even this falls to the retarded and pompous writing of chhayavad and good luck finding some good fantasy, chandrakanta is hailed as the epitome of fantasy writing in India, and it's just 2000 pages of a sloppy attempt at historical fiction

The Ahar Banas culture that arose independently from Ivc was vastly distinct from it. It is the only culture that produced weapons outside of Arya's and Ivc. Thus the Rajasthani and Tamil people have a right to be proud of their aasi ancestors along with their other ancestors. Someone asked about AASI history so this is one post on that. Tell more if your own state had a pre ivc aasi culture

His thought-process mirrors that of a lot of based Hindu nationalists as well (Savarkar, Aurobindo, etc), but he reaches an entirely different conclusion with it.

i used to think aurangzeb was more based, and he was kinda hitler coded too. but the more i look into it, he tanked the entire mughal empire. he was too obsessed with religion, ruined the economy, and pissed off literally everyone (even other muslims) kek
>inb4 "but he was righteous and stood for his faith"
he also speedran the mughal collapse. marathas rose, sikhs got radicalized, and the whole thing fell apart after him. not very based if your empire dies right after you
akbar on the other hand was def a libtard, or like lowkey far-left for his time. but dude literally built a temple for his hindu waifu 💀. he tried making some fusion religion, removed jizya, hired scholars from other religion to show tolerance, etc. total secular king
>but muh islamic values
>bro was playing 4D chess
but i'd still pick akbar. he was less based maybe, but way smarter and way better at not speedrunning failure kek

Religion is the opium of the people of the people; along with patriotism And now economics is the opium What about sexual intercourse; was that an opium of the people? Use Hardcover instead of GoodReads to track and review your boox
https://hardcover.app/
Their manifesto:
Frustrated by inconsistencies every time we used Goodreads, and out of spite for Amazon, we decided to do something about it. We set out to talk to readers from all around the world with a few simple questions: What is Goodreads doing wrong? Why does Goodreads fail to deliver on their potential? And what would your dream book platform look like?
What we heard was grim. Reader after reader wanted more. They wanted a platform that wasn’t stagnant, better recommendations, more stats on their reading history, less spam and fewer bugs. They wanted to escape Amazon and find underappreciated books by underrepresented authors.
They wanted a place that felt as warm as a familiar library, but as exciting as a midnight book launch party.
We decided to form a bootstrapped team and create a new social discovery platform for book lovers of all kinds! Whether you read or listen, we want to make it shockingly simple for you to discover new books, organize the books on your shelf, and make lasting connections with other readers.

My blood boils whenever some foid calls Sylvia Path as the greatest writer 🤡
Imagine writing about suffering meanwhile you were having fun in your life. You hate and demean men in your literature as if you haven’t
dated ton of men yourself. Absolute state.
Basically the precursor of “oh I’m doomed because i cant get chads attention”
