The "ugra" (ogre) portrayal of deities is extremely fascinating to me. The must lost artistic theme that we rarely gets to see in the mainstream neo vaishnav Hinduism, it has flourished strongly in the Nastika Dharmic schools.

They capture the essense of violence and war path oriented gods, as well as show the harsher and battle ready side of all gods. This needs to revive strongly, in India. It used to put fear of all literal gods in our enemies and must be brought back at all cost.

A statue built in similar style out of stone will genuinely bring back the fear a deity is truly supposed to command. They are not human yaar, they are beyond us mortal. Their portrayal should remind us that every once in a while.

>Anyways, gib Yakshini mommy, UUUUU.
