one of the highlights of archeology has been that most indian regions were continuously occupied for thousand of years even as far as early HG sites eventually becoming hotspot for the kingdom thousands of years of later

sad part? so many artifacts in india are daba kuchla and will never be excavated because of the properties occupied by the population. low budget of ASI

> the logic is simple: unearthing it now just serves as a grim memento of the fact that our predecessors were essentially cowards who permitted foreign entities to seize our sovereignty. my only real grievance with my ancestry is their lack of a total war mentality. they should have systematically liquidated any invader at the border. ideally, they would have prioritized territorial expansion while subjecting the conquered consigning the men to certain death on the front lines and ensuring the women and children remained in a state of perpetual servitude

> afaik, the sentiment in japan is to distance themselves from indians precisely because of this historical docility. they view us as a demographic that allowed their land to be pillaged and their families brutalized. the specific point of ridicule is usually how a mere 20k british officials managed to subjugate a population of 250 million. it’s a massive stain on the collective ego

They didn't. They shook hands with a bunch of local rulers. Backstabbed them. None of all this would have ever happened if someone needs the needphool of them.

This is also whining when I say this, but that is boiled down to how we reward mediocrity. If we keep doing this nothing will change. It's not like their are no Jeets who wish to make changes or build something. Compare that with a population of 10x subhumans, without wits or physique or creativity saturating most vital seats.
