Production being down is somewhat understandable (I know we have a bunch of support based studios here), but even the culture of playing is non-existent.
According to steam's stats, Phillipines and Thailand have more downloaded bandwith than us. And this is with 3 of 4 PC gamer in india having steam, the biggest platform in India. (Besides mobiles)

When I was broken and underage, I used to buy pirated games for cheap. But even that isn't that big. Gayming outside of shitty mobile trash is niche.
