The number of proper soulslike made decently backed devs I can count on my fingers, its really not stale. Its like calling rpgs stale because its the 5 billionth game since daggerfall. There's devs that completely reinvent the mechanics to make it fresh whilst simultaneously adhering to that souls dna. But there are not many of them, like at all.

turn based combat is better in this game, however yes repetition is there but you can involve other characters.

I appreciate the game for taking risks, something you will never see in the modern gaming industry, but a lot of it's deisgn just didn't work well.
Still we got the SaGa series because of it, and spaming toad on the bosses is peak.

My all time favorite as a child was playing Final Fantasy and realising if you hit a fire monster with a fire ball it heals and realising how, and just how horribly i am fucked now, kek. Really great game with some excellent asthetics.

Played cod4 and will play some more. I'm on vaccy for the whole week from Monday, I go back to wagecuck. Lobbies were filled were try hard movement gods and I got assraped, had 3 kills and 37 deaths kek. Honestly I don't take videogames that seriously like I used to during my teenage years. Currently playing Final Fantasy X-2, started it in May but left before I even reached halfway so I continued it last night. Even played FF-X during May last year but got stuck on the final boss Jecht as I did not grind at all FF really is the kino franchise when it comes to JRPGs

Pixel remaster. The problem with the second one is that the game was too ambitious or it's time. The design of the game was therefore technically brocken, requiring cheese starts to not suck, but also becoming too easy if you do said cheese starts. Still, the game is fun.
I'm playing the 3rd one now and it's a lot worse imo. Easily the weakest of the NES trilogy so far.
