What's your fav vidya genre? I will start with mine & that's JRPGs. As we know Nintendo or Japan saved the videogame industry by preventing the vidya crash in 1983 and Japan dominated the vidya scene by releasing innovative, stylish games of all genres consistently with many of them spawning their own franchises and many even got included in majority of the Greatest of all time lists and one particular genre easily stands out -----> JRPGs
From Final Fantasy to Dragon Quest, from Persona to Shin Megami Tensei, From Yakuza to Kingdom Hearts, from Soulslike games to even Mario this genre has always created some of the best games ever made and featured stories and characters that are still remembered fondly

Anything that comes between JRPG and Metroidvania. Castlevania, Mega Man Zero, or anything new that was created based on the old model. For instance the way Octopath Traveller tributes Final Fantasy is wonderful. I enjoy game like Gal Guardians (picrel) a lot as well.

I also like RPGs the most, but I don't just like JRPG though. I also WRPG and eurojank, too.
Besides that, I also like strategy and FPS games as well.

This is greatly overexaggerated. The video game crash was only in US and that too with consoles. The rest of the world and American PC market was doing just fine.

Octopath is really good plus Castlevania and Mega Man are legendary franchises

Yeah but at that time the US console market was the biggest for videogames created by the quick dominant rise of Atari
