IV is the only one I completed the full story of. It had problems, but it was still more fun than both V and the HD trilogy.
And before anyone accuses me of being a zoomer, III was my first GTA.

I still don't even get the charm of it as an adult, as a child I thought it was fun but because it was open world equivalent of shit posting, just do anything you want, spam the cheats, her as close as you can to a sex scene maybe when you did not have games with actually sex scenes like the games from Umemaro. I only even got into the series due to how good the music was.

imo, IV was the best because I liked the story and the characters and wanted to know what happens next. The rest are too forgettable for me to care. And, Outside of the story, GTA also has very little to offer.
I like other crime sandboxes much better. Even rockstar's bully, which i consider their best game, is more fun.

Saints row did the open world Mayhem thing better, and Shenmue and Yakuza did the life sim better. GTA's open world just seems lifeless to me. Like what do you even do with all that cash outside of buying guns and ammo?

I would say the art direction and to an extent OST makes the franchise extra memorable

The most iconic songs of GTA are licensed tracks. I don't disagree, though. VC's selection and 80s aesthetic were decades before it became reddit.

I know a guy who runs a gaming parlour where you can rent out PS5 for a while. They used to stock up on a lot of games before, but gave up because the only games normalfags played were FIFA and the occasion fighting games.
