I am sick of my orthodontist.

Saali mein 1.5 saal keh kar, 3 saal nikaal diye. Kya lawdi hai yaar. Mere daant aur kharab hogaye, double chin bhi aagayi.

Ab usse suna bhi toh nahi sakta kyun ki daant kharab kardegi voh agar chidgi toh.

Not only that I got 4 tooth extracted and now my mouth feels cramped and my teeth are still not straightened, I hate it. I regret it so much.

Upar se ghar waale aur gaaliyan suna rahe hain, kehte hain ki "humne to kaha tha mat lagwa" ab bhugat.

Getting braces was the best definition of my life. I look in to the mirror and thinking why I turned out to be such an incel, I don't look so bad, I even pass the finger test for attractive face. Then I saw a pic of me before I got braces and damn I look fucking ugly. It clicked to me that I acquired this crippling social anxiety back when people treated me like shit when I looked ugly.

My 2 cents. I got braces and they were amazing. Made my crooked ass teeth perfect. But then again I didn't need any extraction vagara and my dentist was a big believer in "it'll sort itself out", so maybe I had a better experience because of that.

When they came off I was ecstatic. Compliments were rained upon me by family and friends. This heaven lasted 2 weeks after which I fell onto a concrete road playing football, knocked my teeth out, and could do nothing as they swung right back to their previous position.

I had braces taken out 2 years ago, i wore retainer for sometime but now my teeth are back to where they were. I'll get braces again but I'll get a bonded retainer this time. I also push my teeth in my sleep. I wonder if bonded retainer can be worn forever.

Similar situation bro. I had one lower incisor removed. My jawline has disappeared. I asked my ortho if this procedure can change my face. He even admitted yes but acted like it wasn't a big deal.

Extracting tooth is only necessary when you have bimax protrusion, which is more of a malocclusion skeletal problem than an orthodontic problem

It's a simple aesthetic issue and does no harm in day to day life

How do I know? Because I had that same freaking problem

The doctor gave me an option of either extracting my molars to achieve a perfect alignment or leave it at just as much as it may look decent and I chose the latter

I think fake teeth can be implanted but implanting them, creating space in your palate and basically making the whole complex procedure work in a way that it doesn't disturb your facial harmony will be way way harder than let's say having a better face in your earlier phase

Try to find the best facial aesthetic specialist you can and research extensively

i just got braces 3 weeks ago, daactar saab told me i'd have 1 tooth extraction later, and the whole process will last for 8-9 months. it felt uncomfortable at first but got used to it after 4 days; it's harder to fulfill my protein intake after working out due to them, soft boiled eggs and chicken soup, soft paneer and daal chaawal works for me currently.

didn't experience any dental pain except mild discomfort as i expected, but hopefully this will be worth it after an year

Don't do it. Ask your dentist to perform IPR instead, i.e shave one tooth to make space for the other.

Extraction is going to make a big gap, and pushing the teeth back to fill the gap will spoil you facial profile.
