I am on the verge of end of memexams now

I will share which clg and branch i am getting after results get declared

Always had an interest in programming and thus wanted to choose CSE

But recently i got to know that my uncle who is a power engg. works in reliance township, earns really well to instantly afford a 40k watch for him and his son(my brother of same age)

To get jaab there, you should be a Mech. engg. , Electrical Engg. , Instrumentation and idk

He used to work in Jamnagar Township, but now shifted to Nagothane Township:

here is the view:(it is new , and thus the construction)

https://share.google/iIaaLTqMC39WKkMs6

If i get a jaab there, i will live in one of these complexes, and live a cozy laife

Or should i grind hard for CS ??

Kalejbros/Wagiebros , tell me the truth pls

thanks

getting into an IIT for EEE is still not to go for me

only the stable roadmap for me is to get under 500 rank in bitsat to get fully free schlorship, then opt for EEE and get a jaab in unc's township

literal cozy laife there yaar

abey yrr this is just your average UMC neighborhood in delhi or bangalore, maybe parts of mumbai

also (this is just my opinion as a kalejfag) electrical fags can do CSE work but csefags can't do core ECE/EE work. just so you know

i would have done Mechanical if my parents allowed me, it is even more general and they can do virtually every engineering job except for some niche roles. they thought doing CSE like everyone else would be better but I managed to talk them out of it and let me go for electrical. It's a lot cooler cause you actually understand how a computer works from the bottom and upwards (or anything that runs on the power grid, really).

jeets tend to choose cse because of the usually higher salaries and (historically) high number of jaabs in IT, but CSE as a field makes little sense on its own. It teaches you barely any of the higher maths/physics/materials science that is required in engineering analysis in order to be designing anything other than software. there is barely an introduction with low-level layers of computers, instead what do they teach you? have a look at their syllabi and see for yourself

But, to be fair: CSE is easy as shit. It is literally just computer science with some maths and nothin else. It is a much, MUCH lower workload than mechanical, ECE or electrical. Hell, in my university it is well-known that the hardest branch is electrical, and as a result of the harder subjects (we have a lot more physics, maths, electronics (duh), signal processing, etc. compared to computer engineering guys) we get a lot less free time compared to CompE or CS guys. If you want enough time to grind questions on leetcode or do projects in your free time or just have kalej life, probably pick CSE. I get zero free time outside of night to do anything fun like going outside, playing games, anime etc. and i'm sure it will only get harder from here in 2nd/3rd years.

yes sir

the infra ain't too good

but if i am from a better kalej then i may get a senior jaab in other townships like the main one:

jamnagar reliance township

also this one i mentioned is a totally isolated area.

low grade officers work in ur picrel area

high grade officers(my unc) live in this picrel and they have separate area

Holy shit where did you even get this idea from nanhajeet brother?

Do proper research, or do what you actually love and don't chase after money and status.

idk the exact process of employing there

but my unc who works there in the petroleum industry says that these branches are what needed for there

i will tell the whole process after getting the info. but will still try to grind as hard for those memexams now instead of thinking of latter

Aren't you worried about crude oil running out?

That's what we are actually facing right now. In 4 years what's going to happen? No one knows.

idk man

i haven't been exposed to worldy things as of now

i'll just grind for memexams now, let's see what happens in future, may change the decision accordingly

I still regret doing mechanical engineering when my interests were viscom and similar things. I was not able to undo the 4 year investment in my formative years even after a decade. This is actually an important decision that you should be prepared to take by now.

How much is your uncle earning btw?

I'd guarantee that he's basically top 5% of Indian population if he is a senior engineer at Reliance. Which means... 95 out of 100 people have actually failed to get a life that he has.

i dunno the actual amount

but he earns enough to book a 10k room , 2lakh coaching in pune for my brother .

they both also own branded sports watch 2x of 40k

while i wear one analog with 4k

i can say that he earns more than enough and is prolly rich cause the shelter to live is provided by the township itself

it depends on the role

he earns more than 24lpa is what i only know

but there are members with 5lpa too

basically higher ups have different housing there

sorry for thinking that 24lpa is huge fellas

this site has mostly richfags whose family net income is >50lpa

i will just opt for bitsat cse , as it is in my interest + it gets you money

end of thread.
