These issues were prevalent since a long time, in fact, if anything they've reduced in recent times(Divorce in the 80s was like 60% or something while now it's floating somewhere around 30-40%) and its mostly due to absolutely gutters level rates of marriage which also coincides with political polarization of men and women.
