Bhai desh ki "azaadi" has always been a meme, there was no popular independence movement in lundia, specially bhangis never cared for it, it was mostly bunch of elite gentry, that wanted more political power, indian national congress as a party was created for this purpose with the help of the british who after WW2 left on their own terms, these politicians got the country through transfer of power.
