HAL has been disqualified in the AMCA Programme. The contract is most probably going to go to TASL with kalyani as a subsytem developer and L&T+BEL in charge of electronics. Didn't know Modiji and the MoD could be this dangerously based. I'm feeling good bros.

I want Hindus to develop weapons to blow up (auto-excised)s. We have 30+20 crores for target practise and plenty of them in house to produce the best weapons on the planet.

>Didn't know Modiji and the MoD could be this dangerously based

I have hopium and copium both about it.

Let's go with copium first

>This government delayed almost 2 years for AMCA program to just ensure private vendors could get into this

>HAL Tejas was already using sub systems from many of these companies - so it was not like complete government built aircraft

>Private sector - no matter what others say has zilch experience in building a fully capable aircraft - the reasoning that HAL which has built so many and even contributed to the design and development of AMCA isn't capable but somehow these private companies who have built at best sub system would be capable - is not really a good reasoning.

>HAL has entire infra - these private players will have to build those infra again - so further years of delays in the program

>Is adani gone or GOI will bring them somehow?

>AMCA as a whole is setup for failure - because of SQR provided by IAF - they have requirements which don't match the SQR - which paves the way for another set of 5 gen jet import open

Even with private players aircraft will take atleast 8 years for first rollout, 4 years of trials and etc. 14 years which means 2038 for AMCA ready for induction - IAF will not wait till then - AMCA will not be state of the art by then.

So chodi, IAF, babus, everyone has put AMCA on the Tejas route. There's nothing based or happy about it. It only shows that every strategic project has suffered under this government.

Be atleast a little optimistic yaar. I'm one of the biggest bhosadpillers on the board, and even I'm having a good feeling about AMCA. Will it be the world's best 5th gen aircraft? Probably not. But it'll be a stepping stone for India to make good 6th and 7th gen aircraft on its own. If India can make good nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, there's no reason we can't make fighter jets. For a cricket playing country, India just can't keep its eye on the ball. All India has to do is pay attention to the right things and invest money and manpower. Fingers crossed for the AMCA. Hoping AMCA first flight before 2032.

there are lot of historical reasons which is why i hv zero hope in the current leadership - political/military and of course babus. hope lots of indigenous system supporters are wrong because what we are seeing is - very grim.

i wrote a bit but decided not to post.

We will go bankrupt trying to import 5th gen fighters. IAF has so strategy. I hope they realize they can't compete with PLAAF in terms of capability no matter how much of a success AMCA becomes.

What India needs now is large quantities of 4-4.5 gen jets. Atleast 5 flying missile trucks for every J-20. This might sound extreme but you have to remember their J-20 fleet alone will outnumber all IAF fighters this decade. Bleak.

saar are you forgetting that this government and manrega with aircrafts are creaming their pants with possible 50bn+ usd worth of aircraft procurement?

there's nothing past them anyway.

Let's just hope tejas mk2 of 5 squadrons are ordered.

I agree with all points but 5th gen aircraft are non negotiable. You can't do deep penetration strikes in 4-4.5 gen aircraft. IAF jets got ACKED inside indian airspace during op sindoor. IAF needs 5th gen fighters to reduce combat losses in operations.

HAL malding so hard they wrote essay on shitter. Only thing worthwhile nothing is that they are aiming post 2032 for production of Tejas mk2 (brootal) - entire goal of tejas mk2 was to speed up the development and production fast - 6 years for prototype and development is very bad.

Ig maybe GOI is right on this one.
